And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen
Paul was the recipient of financial support from the church at Philippi. The messenger he was sending back with this letter, Epaphroditus, was the one who had brought him the gift from the church. Now, he is reminding them that God will not fail them and he will always come through with what they need.
Sometimes, we have to be reminded of the difference between and need and a want. God has blessed us with many of our wants, but we don't always get what we want. However, God always supplies our need. When He calls us to go and do for Him, it is then we find ourselves, often, in a place that we are crying out before Him. That's part of the journey with the Lord. Our testimony is a product of living faithfully for the Lord. Those who have been through it the most will be the first to say that God always supplies. He is faithful and He is the one who has the power to do it!
To our God and Father be glory forever and ever, amen!
